Why this blog?

I teach English, and I hate grammar! If that surprises you let me add that though I find poor grammar  painful, especially when it comes from those who should be able to use it correctly, I am perfectly willing to accept it from those who are struggling to learn the language. Though most of the people I come into contact with do want to read and write perfectly, they know that, in fact just being able to discuss things in English is enough for their everyday needs. So, this blog is dedicated to them. I write briefly (and I hope grammatically correctly) about what is going on in life, in business and in politics in what I hope is a short and simple style. My aim is to interest them enough that they will keep reading and thinking in English.
